Hubbard Forge defines themselves as “reliable American makers” and “modern american blacksmiths” as they focus on creating art with their forging skills. Over 230 workers make up their force and work together as designers, engineers, and makers to provide stylish, quality light fixtures.

While these elements of their story can stand alone, it’s also worth noting that Hubbardton Forge is one of the country’s oldest and longest operating commercial forges. Each item is handcrafted by artisans at their headquarters in Castleton, Vermont. Hubbardton Forge has its own set of designers who come from many different backgrounds. One was for Green Manufacturer of the across all home decor categories, and the other was specifically for being the Lighting Category Winner. Later that year, they even won the Interior Design 2019 Best of Year Award with the ABACUS design.
